Renowned South African fashion designer David Tlale has done it again… with the launch of the intern on SABC 3 (DStv channel 193) Tlale once again proves that the South African fashion and entertainment industry is on par with international standards.
Hailing from Vosloorus in Gauteng Tlale has emerged as an undeniable force in both the local and international fashion industry. From humble beginnings in his mother’s house with one sewing machine, he managed to do what few other fashion designers on the African continent have achieved in a life time. After conquering the catwalks of the New York Fashion Week without compromising his own signature style and unique South African flair Tlale is set to inspire and entertain audiences.
His signature is etched onto every aspect of the show right down to the recruitment of the interns. The reality show is set to be aired in thirteen episodes and will follow 12 hopeful contestants as they compete to win the grand prize – an internship at Tlale’s house of David Tlale. The ultimate prize is the coveted title of assistant designer and a studio to the value of R 250 000.
