Soshanguve’s own musician who is not only a dreamer but an all-time hustler.
Ronny Sithole, going by the stage name ‘Trayce’ is a Pretoria (Soshanguve) born and grown hip-hop and Rnb artist. Trayce recorded his first single in 2008 alongside Rhyme Flipper, the two were by then going by the name Ruff Doggz and the single was recorded under CSP records. He then later released the four tracks promo disc in hard copies.
Born in Pretoria on the 30th May 1991, Trayce’s love for music developed in 2006 and within the space of a mere ten years his song, let go, won him the Soshanguve’s 2016 song of the year award. He worked with various producers, artists, and has been part of many gigs and music shows, has performed at places like Morula sun casino, Piki’s lounge, Nafcoc auditorium, Cloud9, Queens lounge, Andys Industrial chisa nyama (sharing the stage with the likes of Junior Taurus and Lady Zama) to mention but a few.
‘I have shared local radio interviews at T.U.T and Moretele radio with Jaycee, a fellow artist. I was featured as a guest artist for an online (podcast) radio show interview called Straight 2de point at Radio High Definition. I was featured as a guest artist at SMU f.m breakfast show with Percy Sleash and Neo.
He once signed with Next production, a record company based in Soshanguve. He was part of the hip-hop crew known as Swaggasaintz and released a four track E.P with the crew digitally, a year later he decided to go solo again working with Kimro Beatz who is a producer.
‘One of my hit singles, she told me, was featured on Tshwane FM’s hip-hop show which made waves for quite some time. I also feature in various songs by other artists of a similar profession as I come highly recommended and I was part of Soshiville all-stars movement. I have my first ever project pending for release in 2017 titled Something Else which is an E.P of 7 tracks, prior to that I have only been releasing singles.’
Trayce is one humble individual who is real passionate about what he does and is a results-driven person who is always willing to work with anyone as much motivated. He’s still an upcoming artist who has done his homework on the music ropes and is willing to utilize efficient opportunities to become part of South Africa or possibly the world’s music business.
