Back To The 80’s with Armand Joubert & Nic Billington

After the success of the unexpected first release between Armand Joubert & Nic Billington’s Wish You Well, which is currently charting at number 7 on massive South African radio charts, viewed more than 31 000 times on YouTube with their music video in the first month and also been playlisted across South Africa as well as America and New Zealand. Armand and Nic has decided to team up once again for another collaboration and they are taking you Back To The 80’s

Back ToThe 80’s is a song that will take you back to the good old days of 80’s pop music, leaving you feeling all types of feels. The track is filled with that nostalgia feeling but it still gives you that new age edge.

In the words of Armand; Back To The 80’s has the potential to be something very special in people’slives, especially with the times we find ourselves in at the moment. Perhaps this song can take you back to the good old days when things were simpler and reminiscing of the days when they were young and in love but also give you hope for the future. And for someone who wasn’t born in the 80’s like myself, we all have an idea what the 80’s felt like and when I was creating this song with Nic and our producer McK, I got to be in that era for a little while. Growing up, I was heavily influenced by 80’s music so when I heard McK’s instrumental for the first time, I jumped at the opportunity to do the collab with him and and AJ. I’ve always wanted to do something like this and the timing just felt right.Back To The 80’s is a classic mid-tempo bob that leaves you with feelings of young love and nostalgia, drawing inspiration from music that was reminiscent of that magical era –with so many great acts like Wham, Michael Jackson and A-ha, said Nic.
Armand Joubert and Nic Billington are two magnificent pop artists in their own right but has proven that music brings people together and that it is all about collaboration after all.
